Since then windows have moved in more than one direction: later, earlier, and narrower, sometimes on the same order within a single week. Below are reports from holders posting publicly in owner communities, plus movements from orders tracked on this platform — our own, and windows holders reported directly here — highlighted.
Through August, windows moved in both directions. Early September looked one-way — the order that had briefly held the earliest window slipped past the entire quarter, to December 1 – January 31, matching the delay reports in owner communities. Then on September 8 our own tracked order broke the pattern right back: October 9 – November 13 pulled forward to September 18 – 30, the earliest window on record — and still with no VIN attached. Later that same day a second order, also placed July 2, reported the identical December 1 – January 31 window through our form. All of these are real, days apart, on orders placed the same week. The practical read is unchanged and now twice-proven: a date in your Tesla account is provisional until a VIN is attached, in either direction — worth re-checking whichever way yours currently points.
